Bejeweled 3 is the latest installment of the sequel, created by Popcap, which is at the origin of the so popular match 3 style games.Often copied but rarely equaled, this version of Bejeweled free online is one of the most played games in the world and was also declined on multiple formats in full version to download. You can play it here in fullscreen.Edit (12/28/2020):Bejeweled is now playable in HD and HTML5 version.
Bejeweled 3 introduces several new elements to the mainline series, with some features from previous spin-off titles being integrated to the game, such as being able to match while other games are falling, the replay feature, new special gems, an achievement and ranking system, and more. The game released to positive reception.
The Xbox 360 version of Bejeweled 3 is playable on Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S through the Backwards Compatibility program, as one of the first games to be supported at launch. Like Bejeweled 2, the Xbox 360 version is also included in the EA Play subscription service.

Jason Kapalka, co-founder and chief creative officer at PopCap and co-creator of Bejeweled, said: "The challenge in creating a new version of Bejeweled is to innovate and keep it fresh and exciting without losing touch with the gameplay that millions of people love. So we're very careful when we make changes to the core game, which is why it can take so long! [...] We've worked hard to make sure Bejeweled 3 retains the classic appeal of the earlier games while bringing a host of exciting new features to the table".
The Xbox 360 version of Bejeweled 3 is playable on Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S through the Backwards Compatibility Program, and was one of the first games to be selected at launch. Bejeweled 3 is also included as a game on the EA Play subscription service.[11]
Bejeweled has been around for years and has spawned quite a few variations. Keeping things fresh, however, is not always easy. PopCap is well known for fun, entertaining games however, and Bejeweled is just another of its wildly popular casual gaming experiences.
The match-three genre is filled with clones, knock-offs, and hundreds of games across dozens of platforms. Into the maelstrom comes PopCap Games' Bejeweled 3, the newest entry into the series that has done more to fight boredom than anything else in existence, and to our surprise not only does the game move the genre forward, but it's even more addictive than any of the previous installments. Yes, this is worth your $20 on either Mac or PC, but Bjorn knows the game is coming to every platform and system possible in the near future.
Updates to the new game from Bejeweled 2 include new gems, badges for completing challenges (though no sharing function or leaderboard -- yet) and new secret games like Ice Storm and Poker, which offer a twist on the Bejeweled theme. A Quest mode features 11 mini-games and 40 puzzles.
PopCap launched the Bejeweled franchise 10 years ago around the founding the company. Its success to date can be seen in the numbers. Since its initial launch, the various titles (Bejeweled 1 and 2, and updates Twist and Blitz) have sold more than 50 million games across 17 platforms. The company says players have collectively spent some 7.5 billion hours on the games, and that one copy of the game sells every 4.3 seconds.
Though many pundits have predicted the death of traditional brick-and-mortar retailers for selling games, PopCap says those outlets have been a key part of sales. Retail outlets make up around 20 to 25% of the company's sales.
That last point is absolutely essential, if you genuinely care about match-3 games. It's the reason I've always criticised the Bejeweled series as falling short of others, especially the DS's exquisite Zoo Keeper. To be able to start making other matches while the board is still cascading is critical to playing match-3 at anything like an interesting pace. Sitting around waiting for other parts of the board to change makes for a stilted and limited game. So this tweak means it could be a game in which you can seriously challenge yourself. It means I go from rolling my eyes at seeing the series milked once more, to looking forward to playing.
Bejeweled games are still selling at a rate of one copy every 4.3 seconds, with - they say - half a billion people having had a go. That's one in twelve people on Earth. So clearly people want more. And more they'll get. And with the newly smoothed play, I'll be one of them. The game's out on the 7th December.
Thanks for this. I was able to fix an iWin games copy of Bejeweled Twist by finding the executables folder and dropping the WineD3D files in. This after a dozen unhelpful emails back and forth to iWin support staff.
With twice the game modes of its predecessor as well as eight mini-games and a complete revision of sound and graphics, Bejeweled 3 is a quantum leap forward in the match-3 category pioneered by the original Bejeweled.
SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Today, Hasbro, Inc. (NASDAQ: HAS), a global leader in gaming, and PopCap Games, maker of some of the world's most popular video game franchises and a division of EA, announced a licensing deal to bring some of PopCap's blockbuster properties into a new world of face-to-face games developed by Hasbro. Through this agreement, Hasbro has obtained the license to develop and distribute a wide range of physical games based on PopCap's properties, including Bejeweled.
Hasbro will introduce two games in the spring of 2013 based on PopCap's incredibly popular Bejeweled game, which has sold more than 50 million digital units worldwide. The new physical games also include digital values for online Bejeweled players, such as a download of the Bejeweled 3 computer game. In Hasbro's new BEJEWELED game, players bring the PopCap video game of the same name to life by swapping gems on the game board to match 3 or more to win. Purchase of the Hasbro game also includes an exclusive code for players to download the Bejeweled 3 computer game. Hasbro's BEJEWELED FRENZY game is a fast-paced card game that challenges players to match gems and build stacks of cards as fast as they can. Purchase of the BEJEWELED FRENZY game also includes a code for players ages 13+ with a valid Facebook account to redeem four Rare Gems to use in the Bejeweled Blitz online game.

John is what you might call something of a badass. When he's not writing about games or playing them, he's playing in the Kansas City band "Documentary" and drinking as many different beers as often as he can. He's a huge comic nerd in the best sense of the term, with a particular love for the Creator Owned movement.
The collaboration will hit retail stores this spring with two games. The first board game is based on PopCap's Bejeweled, in which players will match three tiles to eliminate them. Bejeweled Frenzy, the second board game, tasks players with building a stack of cards as quickly as possible. According to a product listing on BBCW Distributors' website, Bejeweled Frenzy (pictured above) includes 84 cards and 7 Boost Gems that earn players bonus points.
But beware your productivity: The bundle gives you five of the all-time great casual games -- Bejeweled 3, Bookworm Deluxe, Escape Rosecliff Island, Feeding Frenzy 2 Deluxe, and Peggle -- for whatever price you want to pay.
Make it at least six bucks and you'll also get Peggle Nights, Plants Vs. Zombies GOTY Edition, and Zuma's Revenge. That, my friends, is an insanely good game deal. Bejeweled 3 all by itself? $9.99. In fact, pretty much of all these games normally sell for $10 apiece, so you're looking at an $80 value for $6. (Or more, if you want to help some really good causes. $20 wouldn't be out of line at all.) 2b1af7f3a8
